We’re thrilled to announce that Phase I of the 2025 Impact Project — the revitalization of the Monsignor Ralph Gallagher Parish Center gym floor — is now fully funded, thanks to the incredible generosity and unwavering support of our school community!
Construction on this much-anticipated project is scheduled for completion by the end of the first trimester — just in time for basketball season! The gym is a central hub of activity at Saint Agatha School, and this renovation will provide our students and community with a safe, modern, and inspiring space for years to come.
This remarkable achievement was made possible through the collective efforts of many, and we are truly grateful. First and foremost, we sincerely thank Mr. Daniel Flatley and the Flatley Foundation, whose transformative grant awarded to Saint Agatha School this summer laid the foundation for the project’s success. Their strong commitment to education and community support is evident in this generous investment, which will have a lasting impact on our school and every student who walks through our doors.
We are equally thankful for the incredible generosity of our school families, parishioners, alumni, and friends who participated in the 2025 Gala & Auction on March 8, especially those who contributed during the Paddle Raise for this year’s Fund-A-Need initiative.
In addition, we gratefully recognize the St. Agatha Parish Social Committee for their generous donation to the gym floor replacement project, made possible through the proceeds from the Danny Gill and The Old Brigade concert. We sincerely thank the committee and all who supported the evening for their meaningful contribution to this important effort.
Your enthusiastic support and belief in our mission made all the difference — together, we raised the full amount required to begin Phase I of this exciting transformation.
The Monsignor Ralph Gallagher Parish Center is much more than just a gym; it serves as a multi-functional space at the heart of Saint Agatha School and our wider Parish and Milton communities. This center hosts a variety of events, including daily gym classes for grades K0 through 8, school assemblies, parish Masses, concerts, and community gatherings, creating countless memories and milestones.
Throughout the year, the gym is home to many cherished events and traditions, such as:
Morning prayers and school-wide announcements
Award ceremonies and student orientations
Christmas and spring performances
CYO basketball games and afterschool team practices
A high school fair for our grade 8 students
Annual Christmas Shopping Night
This space is ready for a much-deserved facelift.
Phase 1 has now been fully funded and will begin soon. This phase includes:
The replacement of the existing gym floor with modern, durable materials that are safe for both athletic performance and community gatherings.
The installation of our school logo which will be proudly displayed at center court, reinforcing school pride and identity during games, concerts, and other events.
This investment not only enhances the physical safety and aesthetics of the space but also sends a powerful message to our students: they are valued, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves.
We are on track to complete this work by the end of Trimester 1, ensuring that our CYO Basketball teams can enjoy their home court during the winter season.
With Phase 1 underway, we are already looking ahead to the future. This project marks the beginning of a multi-year vision to reimagine and renovate the Monsignor Ralph Gallagher Parish Center into a state-of-the-art facility that reflects the excellence and vibrancy of Saint Agatha School.
Future phases will include:
Upgraded sound and lighting systems
New balcony seating for enhanced audience comfort
Dedicated restrooms
A full HVAC installation to ensure year-round comfort for all users
As support continues to grow, we are excited to move forward, one phase at a time, toward the complete transformation of this cherished space.
The success of the 2025 Impact Project highlights our strong track record of meeting — and even exceeding — our fundraising goals through the Fund-A-Need initiative. This initiative exemplifies what our community can accomplish when we unite to support a shared vision.
Recent milestones achieved through the Fund-A-Need initiative include:

2024: Redesign of the Outdoor Playspace
2023: Implementation of the "Choose to Be Nice" School Kindness Program
2022: Enhancements to School Security
Each of these projects has significantly and positively impacted the daily lives of our students and teachers. We are proud of the positive momentum we continue to create.
The excitement continues! Mark your calendars for the next Saint Agatha School Gala & Auction:
